Usually optical illusions barely work for me but this one is the best I've ever done. It worked so well that it freaked me out! You have to stare at it for a while but it's worth it. No, this isn't a trick.

Last night we attended a special screening of "Snakes on a Plane" in San Francisco. There was a costume contest (sort of) so I recreated the poster of the movie. Even though the plane in the movie is a jet I thought it would be cool to have a working propeller so I took apart a fan and put the guts in the creation. Here is a side-by-side comparison:

There is a contestant named Jase (he's been on two seasons) who appeared right before Jace was born. We were annoyed because the name was pretty obscure at the time and also Jase is kind of an egomaniac. Well, yesterday Jace put on a bandana-type thing (no assistance from us) which is Jase's trademark so I had to document the event.

I went to a bizarre art show in San Jose a few days ago with my friend Simon. The group is called Survival Research Laboratories and they don't put on shows very often since they have to get permission from every fire marshall in a 10 mile radius...

I first heard about them from my uncle about five years ago and I've always been curious to see a show. All I can say is that I was grinning the whole time. Seeing a video of the show is one thing but feeling the heat of the flames on your face and the imact of the explosions in your chest is another.

Jace was involved in a lot of summer classes and one of them was "Tippy Two's", a dance class for toddlers. They had their dance recital (along with other dance classes) last weekend and here is the video. You can't tell but at the end of his performance he almost walked off the stage.

I'm a little late to find out about this but the repetitive commercial for "Head On" migraine medicine is the most irritating commercial of all time. Of course I am improving their sales by mentioning it. There is even a television news story about it.
